Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Spanish Language Institute!

We hope you're just as excited as we are to be joining our language-learning family! But before we finalise your registration, please read our general terms and conditions below concerning course payment, compensation and non-attendance policies of Spanish Language Institute:

Payment:

  1. Payment should be given no later than the start of the course and/or lesson of that which is being paid.
  2. It is not possible to attend a lesson and/or course without prior full-payment or an agreed upon instalment plan – which is enforced by one of the following circumstances:
    1. The signature between SLI and Student on the Student Purchase Contract Policy.
    2. The acceptance of these general terms and conditions.

Compensation and Non-Attendance:

  1. Group Lessons:
    1. Should the student be absent of a lesson, they are not entitled to any compensation for that lesson – unless they satisfy the following requisite:
      1. Students are required to provide notice at least 7 days prior to the start of a lesson to cancel participation. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of any applicable compensation.
      2. In case of medical or personal grievance, students may be entitled to full compensation if they notify SLI at least 7 days prior to the start of the lesson. Notifications received less than 7 days in advance will not be eligible for compensation.
        1. Compensation will be given in the form of a complementary substitute lesson and will be held at the nearest possible date.
      3. Cancellation:
        1. Under the guise of the Plus Package and Full Immersion Package, a student is able to discontinue any future lessons for any untaught lessons should they give at least 7 days notice to SLI of their desire to cancel their course registration. Proper compensation will be given strictly under the following major causes:
          1. Personal grievance issues
          2. Medical issues
          3. Transfer location of job
          4. Any other circumstance deemed major by SLI faculty.
  2. Private and Semi-Private Lessons
    1. Should the student be absent of a private, semi-private or online lesson, in order to be entitled to full compensation, the student must notify their instructor at least 24 hours prior to the lesson they will not attend.
